Hello Freightliner.........again!

Good morning my virtual drivers!  We had a short night and very little sleep before heading to the shop at Freightliner in Oklahoma City.  I had one hour left on my clock when we arrived at 9:30 at the receiver.  I was docked at 10, emptied at 11:30 and parked for the night at 12:00.  I was asleep at 12:30 and the alarm woke me up at 6:30.....Gads I hate working so late at night.

At 7:30, I got a load for Mississippi.  It appears no one was communicating and dispatch was not informed about my shop repairs.  Load was pulled and here we sit, waiting for the light sensor repair and the windshield to be resealed.

OH!  Marie, my Werner trainer, was fired from that back killing job in North Dakota due to 2 mistakes that really did not deserve dismissal.  There was rumor that women just don't last in the harsh conditions or is it just an excuse to fire women due to first time violations.  Any way, she interviewed with 4 other outfits up there and got hired on with one of them, doing the same back breaking work she was doing before, running the water trucks during the graveyard shift.  I personally think she is crazy but hey, she is determined to save the ranch........that woman amazes me!

Now for my company mentor, Terry, he is ready to quit!  He has been with the company 15 months as a trainer and the loads recently have not been to his expected standard.  Looks like he will have a conversation with management next week.  If he don't get the answers he wants, he will become an owner operator....big jump from employee.  He is only a few years older than me and willing to risk his savings on a new truck and all the expenses that come with it......and with the cost of fuel, that is CRAZY!

Hey Michael!  If you woke up breathing, you won the most important battle.......keep that awesome smile in overdrive ;)
