Truck is fixed and grandson is going to be pissed!

With all the messages and being placed on hold for ever, it took only one technician to call me and instruct me to fill all the fluids.....problem fixed!

We will be heading out soon to the doctor for a little snip on the grandson.  My own son, his father won't join us on this little trip as he just wants to cross his legs and scream.....oh hell no!  Good thing baby boys don't remember this little event but as big boys, the mental visual has them squirming like they did!

I have been busy today cleaning my tin can, stocking supplies, washing laundry and enjoying the sweet smell of a new baby.  We are having truck issues as it is leaking oil and now has service lights flashing and shutting down the truck.  But, right now, I don't care........we will worry about it tomorrow.  Tonight it is all about family........and Brandon joined us so it is perfect.  Picture time!

Back to the sticks of ...... Montana!

And it is a beautiful yet chilly night to call it quits in Great Falls!  I just finished my dinner of chicken, veggies and rice that should have been enjoyed two hours ago but thanks to my dispatcher, I spent my dinner hour sitting in Customs at the Canada border.  Someone forgot to tell Canada Briefing that I picked up my load at 7 AM so when I arrived at the border at 4 PM.....I wasn't approved to cross.  After a few phone calls, and paperwork edits, I was permitted to hit the road before the deer came out of the bushes to play......."I can beat that truck!"

I am swapping this load at 10:30 in Butte and not sure where I am going after that.....except to Troy where my kids have been waiting a little too hard.  I did say I would be there by the 10th and it is only the 8th.  Cross your fingers that this wonderful cold weather remains, without snow, for at least a week.

Once I hit Troy, I will be off line for home time until the 14th.  So now is a good time to pack your bags and get out of the truck.  I will pick you up at 6 AM on the 14th......weather permitting!

Now this would be a lovely retirement home......not with my wages!

Break time in Great Falls, Montana

It has been a long day after an early morning drive at 45 miles per hour on 50 miles of ice!  I was soooooo glad to get off the reservation as they don't sand as quickly as the rest of the state.  And I did drive like an old lady as big trucks as well as little trucks were passing me.........but hey, I am here!

I might be an hour late for the delivery tomorrow but it will be close.  I have 2 hours left on my clock which will get me to Conrad for the night.  It will take me 4.5 to 5 hours to get to Calgary.  The drop is at 9 AM, I will be on the road at 5 AM..........well, you see the math.

I had a wonderful time skyping with the kids last night and seeing my grandson.  I look forward to holding him in a few days and then getting the hell out of Montana!  I will try to get back online later this evening but since I just updated you, it wouldn't be to blog!
